A reunion update! Our special guest at the Friday casual get-together (Sept. 14, Peddlers Pub, Clifton Park) will be Mr. Latini, the popular art teacher from our era! And the nostalgia tour of the high school on Saturday (Sept. 15) will be led by principal Mrs. Maryellen Symer and current high school students.
Wow, our high school alma mater has become a sports juggernaut! Among other championships, in 2011 BH-BL was the Class A State Champion in baseball and girls volleyball! The boys varsity football team made it to the state Class A championship game in 2011 (lost to Maine-Endwell); the Spartans have been Sectional Champs for the past three years under Coach Matt Shell. The girls volleyball team has been Sectional Champs for over 20 years under Coach Gary Bynon. Go, Spartans!
We've just added 15 more people to the "who is registered" list for our 50-year reunion, and expect to get another big batch in the next few days. Keep 'em coming!
Via the "Contact Form" on this website, we've just heard from Ron Quick and Richard Hess! Let us hear from you, and don't forget we have a class page on Facebook, too.
We just added Jefferson Bailey, Bob Gair, Peter Rankin, and Edwin Matthews to the registration list! The list is growing, and we know of lots more of you who will be attending. Please send in your registration as soon as possible to help us plan!
The reunion mailing went out a couple of weeks ago, and the registrations are starting to arrive at Suzanne's home. The first 10 registrants are now posted on the "Who's Registered" page, and we'll add the newly received registrations weekly.
The planning committee for the 50-Year Reunion has added a golf outing at Van Patten Golf Course and a nostalgia tour of our alma mater to the reunion schedule. Both will take place on Saturday, Sept. 15. The details for the entire reunion appear on the "50-Year Reunion Schedule" page on this website.
We belatedly learned that Coach Murry O'Neil (football, wrestling, and track during our BH-BL years) was inducted into the Capital Region Football Hall of Fame in August, 2011. Coach O'Neil coached for a remarkable 60 years, 30 of those years at Burnt Hills. An honor well deserved.
